Columbia, MO has many wonderful subdivisions. REALTORS divide the city and Boone county into quadrants to make it easier to search for homes for sale.
The North/South boundary is Interstate 70. The East/West boundary is Rangeline (north of I70) and Providence (south of I70.) The Real Estate Book has created a nice map of city (pdf) showing the quadrant boundaries.
For information on Neighborhood Associations, check out the city website.
Diversified Management Company manages many of the local homeowner associations. Check out their site for copies of covenants to preview as you house hunt.
Some of my favorite subdivisions include:
- Vanderveen – Launched in 1999, for an interesting article on how the subdivison streets got their name, visit the Vanderveen Home Owners Association site.
- Forest Ridge
- Auburn Hills
- Valley View Gardens

- The Hamlet – This subdivision is conveniently located on Scott Blvd. The development was started in 1991 and now boasts 170 homes. The Hamlet HOA site has some good information.
